Welcome in the year 2011 :) Well, not here though, but on the Christmas Islands there is already 2011 going on :o
Btw, are the Christmas Islands called the Christmas Islands cause they can celebrate the 24th of December first? Hm.... :S
But well, still some hours to go in the good old 2010 :) And still reading on Kageyamas "Lessons in the Fundamentals of Go". Fantastic book it is. I like the style Kageyama writes the book, some sort of mix of own experience as amateur and pro, lessons about go and opinions of other go players. It's very interesting and I can just recommend every single go player who is interested in getting better this book. :)
In the last days I've played with my Galdorious account only serious games, while with my Vandraren account I just play to have some fun and to try out new stuff.
So in the last 5 days I played 5 serious games and won all =] What is quite cool is that the last 7 games I played black and I won all. I start to feel like Shusaku, yay! x)
Hmpf, what else to say? Ah, I plan to go to my first tournament here in Germany :) In January there is one in Essen, in February one in Bonn and a third in March in Gießen. Be aware Germany, your new star player is finally showing his strength xD
Öh.....ok ok, I admit, my only goal is not to be the last in those tournaments. The Only thing I'm just wondering is which rank I should give myself? I heard that you simply add 4 ranks to your kgs rank and that's it. But a friend of me told me that he started with his kgs rank and that was quite a good estimate. On the other hand I saw some Finnish players on kgs, whose rank was about 8k and their egf rank was 10k, so only two ranks difference there....hm =/
Anyways, please leave some comment on what rank I should pick up for the first tournament. And whether you are there, maybe we can set up a little game in between :)
